Information stations on various apprenticeships and dual study programs, guided tours of the company building and presentations on the company provided a varied framework for the event. Various activities were designed to whet the appetite for more and to lower the barriers to future job applications. For example, visitors were able to apply for an internship at AP&S quickly and easily using an interactive PDF. The human resources department gave tips on the subject of applications and interviews. Shareholder and AP&S founder Horst Hall personally took the visitors on a tour of the production facilities. A virtual world with VR glasses, presented by the sister company tepcon GmbH, provided an additional fun factor for the young people.
"We were very pleased with the large number of visitors and the lively interest. The feedback from the visitors was very positive. Experiencing a company live with all its processes and departments is something that young people don't get every day, but it's extremely important for getting a feel for the working world and seeing where their own journey should take them. That's exactly what we wanted to achieve. We like to pick up the young people early, already in their first orientation phase," says Lütte.
The event was rounded off with a raffle. The lucky winners were able to proudly take home their prizes, including a TV as first prize.
For the coming year (2023), the following apprenticeship positions are still available at AP&S: Apprenticeship as mechatronics technician; apprenticeship as process mechanic; apprenticeship as warehouse logistics specialist; dual study program Business Informatics - Process Engineering & Digital Management as well as Study Plus - Mechatronics and Digital Production.
